The Second Annual
Mediation Journal
&
Charles "Chic" Nichol Essay Award
The Mediation Journal is published annually every Fall
immediately preceding WAM's Emerging Issues Conference.
The Mediation Journal is provided as a benefit of membership
to members of the Wisconsin Association of Mediators. Copies
may be purchased by non-members and multiple copies may be ordered
from the WAM office.
WAM invites articles concerned with all aspects of mediation
and dispute resolution. Articles must be received by October
1 of the year of publication. Articles shall be no more than
twenty (20) pages in length, double-spaced, and utilize a recognized
style of citation (such as APA or University of Chicago style).
Font size should be not smaller than twelve point. Previously
published manuscripts will not be accepted. Enclose three copies
of the article and computer disk with the text in Word or WordPerfect.
Electronic submission is encouraged and may be sent as an attachment
to wam@mailbag.com
The Charles "Chic"
Nichol Essay Award
In remembrance of the outstanding contribution made to the
mediation profession and to the Wisconsin Association of Mediators
by Charles "Chic" Nichol, this award recognizes an
outstanding article on the practice of mediation. Essay contest
submissions will be judged on originality and unique contribution
to the field and will be published as the lead article in The
Mediation Journal. The author of the winning essay will receive
a $500 cash award.
Articles submitted for the Chic Nichol Essay Contest shall
follow the submission procedures as noted above. Articles must
be received by October 1, 2002 to be eligible for the award.
The Mediation Journal is published by the Wisconsin
Association of Mediators. All rights reserved. No portion of
